Biography

Matt LeMond added depth to Wingate’s D-Line in 2008. He will look to play an expanded role in 2009. LeMond joined the Bulldog family after two seasons at Chaffey (Calif.) College. As a sophomore at Chaffey, he posted 30 tackles and 4.5 QB sacks. At Rancho Cucamonga High School, LeMond earned the Cougars’ most improved award as a senior offensive lineman. He was Baseline League honorable mention All-Conference as well. A solid student, LeMond was an honor roll student at RCHS. A SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll student at Wingate, he was a member of the Cum Laude Society and a Student of the Month Award recipient during his high school years. LeMond’s uncle (Richard Bartnett) played college football at Tulsa. Matt LeMond is the son of Rod and Carol LeMond.
