Biography

Nelson Hicks saw action in nine of Wingate’s 11 games, helping the Bulldogs tie the school record with eight 2008 victories. He had two tackles and one tackle for loss in a road victory at Saint Paul’s. Hicks redshirted for the Bulldogs in 2007. He is a graduate of Phillip O. Berry Academy of Technology. While at Berry, Hicks was a member of the football, basketball and rugby teams for the Fighting Cardinals. He earned All-Conference in football. Hicks is the president and founder of Wingate’s rugby club team. He is the son of James and Cynthia Hicks.
