Personal: Spencer Campbell joined the Bulldog family as a transfer from Western Carolina University. At Whiteville High, Campbell played offensive and defensive line for head coach Luke Little. A three-year all-conference and all-county performer, Campbell was an All-State pick as a junior. He helped the Wolfpack win conference titles his final two seasons, serving as a team captain both years. Campbell was Whiteville’s Most Valuable Lineman Award winner his senior season. His brother-in-law (previous N.C. State student-athlete Thomas de Thaey) plays professional basketball in Europe. A WHS honor roll student, Spencer is the son of Kenneth and Tammy Campbell.
