2015: TJ Bell continued his role as long snapper…has held down the starting role for three years…Gave the punt and field goal/PAT teams much experience and maturity…Helped ‘Dogs make nine field goals…Snapped for Academic All-America punter Christopher Birozes…

2014: Bell was a steadying force on Wingate’s special teams as a two-year starter at long snapper…Helped Bulldogs kick eight field goals in 2014, second on the SAC charts to Lenoir-Rhyne’s 11…Posted a special teams tackle at Newberry…

2013: Stepped in and served as starting long snapper as a true freshman…Helped All-SAC punter Austin Anthony (’14) average 38.1 yards per punt (second in the SAC)…Assisted place kicker Patrick Smith as he earned spot on 2014 pre-season All-SAC squad…Smith scored 53 points by converting six-of-seven field goals and 35-of-39 extra points in 2013…Recorded three special teams tackles with one each against Newberry, Brevard and Mars Hill…
 
Personal: TJ Bell played numerous positions for head coach Mark Woodie at Jesse Carson High School in China Grove. Bell excelled on the offensive line (tackle) as a junior before settling in at defensive end midway through his senior year. He saw time as a long snapper and tight end for the Cougars. TJ Bell is the son of Aprille Bell.
