Personal: Wade Johnson was a two-year varsity starter at tight end for Holly Springs head coach Wayne Bragg. As a senior, Johnson was selected as a team captain and led the squad in receptions with 20 catches and six touchdowns. He was part of a Holly Springs senior class which posted back-to-back state play-off appearances. Johnson was also a four-year member of the baseball team; he played basketball as a senior. He was elected academic all-conference for three years each in both football and baseball. Johnson was an active FCA member, receiving the Holly Springs Wendy’s High School Heisman nomination. He was also a member of the National Honor Society. Wade is the son of Chris and Paige Johnson.
