Biography
2011-12: Ethan Kincaid led Wingate with his 130 assists during his junior season. A three-year starter, Kincaid was second in the SAC with his 4.2 assists per game. He was third on the league charts with his 1.71 assist-to-turnover margin. Kincaid averaged 5.2 points per game and 4.4 rebounds per game as the Bulldogs made an NCAA Division II tournament appearance. The junior play-maker had 16 points, five assists and three rebounds in a SAC home victory over Tusculum. Kincaid had a season-high 10 helpers in SAC home triumph over Mars Hill. He had 12 points, eight rebounds and three assists in an important overtime win at UNC Pembroke. Kincaid’s 27 starts were tied for second on the Bulldog charts.
2010-11: Kincaid started in 27 of the 29 games as a sophomore, averaging 5.7 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. With a total of 113 assists, Kincaid was fifth in the SAC and second in the assist/turnover ratio category. He scored double figures four times during the season. Kincaid had his first career double-double against Brevard, scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, leaving him two assists shy of a triple-double. He scored his career-high 19 points, going five-of-eight from the field against Mars Hill. The following game, he scored double figures with 14 points against Anderson. Kincaid finished second on the Wingate charts in minutes played.
2009-10: Kincaid appeared in every game during his freshman season, starting 11 games for the Bulldogs. He averaged 4.8 points, 2.4 rebounds and a team-best 2.6 assists per game. He had 11 points, six rebounds and five assists at Catawba. Kincaid had 13 points and seven assists against Brevard. He scored a career-high 14 points at Tusculum.
High School: Kincaid netted 17 points per game and seven assists per game his senior year for head coach
Casey Rogers at Freedom High School. In addition, Kincaid posted five rebounds per game and three steals per game as the Patriots recorded a 25-4 overall record his final season.
A two-time All-Northwestern (4A) Conference selection, Kincaid was the Most Valuable Player of the Freedom Christmas tournament and the Northwestern Conference tournament during his senior campaign. The Patriots recorded a 55-25 overall record during Kincaid’s career.
