Biography

2012: Joshua Karr made 23 appearances out of the Wingate bullpen during his junior year. He finished second in the SAC with seven saves, while his 23 appearances ranked sixth in the league. Karr had a 2-1 record, striking out 18 batters in 23 1/3 innings of work. He worked 1 2/3 innings against Lenoir-Rhyne, striking out two to pick up the win. Karr worked a scoreless ninth to preserve a 1-0 victory at Francis Marion. His sixth save of the year came in a 4-2 win over Newberry, followed by a three-out against Lincoln Memorial. 

2011: Karr made 12 appearances out of the Wingate bullpen, compiling a team-best 2.20 ERA. He went 3-1 on the year, while adding two saves. He had 20 strikeouts and only five walks in 16 1/3 innings of work. Karr allowed only 10 hits on the season, all singles. Opponents hit just .169 against him.

2010: Karr red-shirted during the 2010 season.

2009: Karr started 32 games in the field including four on the mound last season for Wingate University as a Freshman. All of his starts as a pitcher came against conference opponents. Offensively Karr led the Bulldogs in walks. Joshua sacrificed his body being hit eight teams last season which was second most on the team. He ended the season with a batting average of .301. Karr was fourth on the team in earned run average, innings pitched and on base percentage. He was fifth in starts. He toed the mound for 38.1 innings last season with a record of 2-1. Joshua Karr is the son of Gary and Deborah Karr.
