2015: Kaitlyn Brunworth piled up the awards during her junior season…The first team All-SAC and All-Region selection earned second team All-American honors from the NSCAA while also earning Academic All-America recognition…Won the Geddings Award as Wingate’s top overall student-athlete during the 2016 WUSPYS…Led the team in goals, points and minutes played, starting all 20 contests…Had six goals and three assists on the season…Scored a goal in the season-opening win at Lander…Registered an assist in victories over USC Aiken and Anderson…Netted the game-winner at Lincoln Memorial, while also scoring in the 5-0 win at Coker…Had an assist in the victory at Brevard, while scoring another game-winner against Catawba…Scored the game-winner in the SAC Tournament quarterfinal victory against Newberry, while also scoring the lone goal in Wingate’s victory over Queens in the SAC Tournament semifinals.
2014: Brunworth earned first team All-SAC and All-Region honors during her sophomore season at Wingate…Was named the SAC Scholar-Athlete…Had three goals and three assists…Scored game-winner in Wingate’s 4-1 win at #10 Catawba…Notched an assist in 1-0 victory against Tusculum…Registered a goal and an assist in 7-0 win against Mount Olive…Scored game-tying goal in second half of SAC championship match against #22 Lenoir-Rhyne, then converted successful penalty kick to help the Bulldogs win their second straight tournament championship…Played a key role in the league’s best defense, which allowed just 12 goals all season, including just three goals in conference play.
2013: Brunworth earned honorable mention All-SAC honors during her first year at Wingate...Played in all 22 games, starting the last 20 contests of the season...Scored three goals including two game-winners...Netted the game-winner in 4-1 win at Carson-Newman...Scored in 2-0 win against Lees-McRae...Scored lone goal in 1-0 win over Newberry in SAC Tournament quarterfinals...Had a successful penalty kick to help Wingate advance past Columbus State in the NCAA Southeast Regionals.
Personal: Brunworth was an honor roll student and AP Scholar at Tunder Ridge High School. She played midfield for head coach Erik Bushey. Brunworth helped lead the Colorado Rush to a runner-up finish in the ECNL in 2013.

Why Kaitlyn chose Wingate: Before I came to North Carolina I thought it was warm and summery all the time here. Even though it's not, I'm still glad I chose it. It feels like home now!
