Biography

Personal: Preston Lane was a two-year captain at St. James High School. He earned All-Conference, All-County and All-State honors in 2012, while also being named the Region Player of the Year. Lane was also named the Toast of the Coast and Grand Strand Sports Baseball Player of the Year in 2012. Lane led St. James to a state championship in 2011 and a region title in 2012. He led the area with a .459 batting average, driving in 37 runs. He went 10-1 on the mound with a 1.50 ERA.
