Why Rachel chose Wingate:
"I wanted to be a part of a successful volleyball program with coaches and teammates who are passionate for the game as much as I am. Also, because I will be far from home, I wanted teammates who have a close family bond. I love that Wingate has so much to offer academically as well and I am excited about this opportunity."
Coach Collier:
"Rachel was a talented setter when she arrived as a freshman a couple years ago, but has worked really hard to develop as a leader, as a more influential player and as a higher level setter, and it shows. We will rely on her as an experienced, veteran setter running our team this season. She also has the unique ability as one of our team's most effective attackers, so we plan to have her hit in our 6-2 offensive system at times as well."
