Wingate University Athletics

2011-12: Sarah Burnick played in 15 games as a freshman for the Wingate Bulldogs. She netted a season-high four points in a home victory over Erskine. Burnick found the scoring column in six games, helping Wingate win five of those contests. She had two points in the SAC title contest against Catawba. Burnick hit 50 percent (five-of-10) from the floor. She averaged 0.8 points per game and 0.7 rebounds per game. Burnick was named to the SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

Prior to Wingate: Sarah Burnick averaged 8.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game as a Providence Day School senior. She was a member of the 2010 and 2011 NCISAA 3A state champions for head coach Josh Springer. Burnick participated in the 2011 Charlotte Pro-Am All-Star Classic. She also played AAU for the Carolina Silver Dynasty and coach Prentis Brown. Sarah Burnick is the daughter of Michelle and Jim Burnick.
