2017: Taylor Williams appeared in 12 matches during her junior season, collecting 30 kills while averaging 1.58 kills per set…Added eight digs and five blocks on the season…Hit .455 with five kills in the Francis Marion win, while hitting .357 with six kills against WSSU…Registered seven kills and two digs in the victory at Mars Hill.

2016: Williams appeared in 30 matches during her sophomore season at Wingate, making 15 starts…Compiled 122 kills, averaging 1.45 kills per set, adding 43 blocks and 14 digs…Had 10 kills and five blocks against Belmont Abbey…Hit .556 with six kills against UNC Pembroke…Registered nine kills against King…Had eight kills at Queens, while collecting 10 kills against Brevard…Hit .500 with eight kills against defending national champion Wheeling Jesuit…Had eight kills against Catawba, while hitting .385 with seven kills at Carson-Newman.  

2015: Williams appeared in 12 matches during her first season at Wingate, making three starts…Registered 1.44 kills per set, adding nine digs, five blocks and two assists on the year…Hit .400 with four kills in collegiate debut against Columbus State, adding two blocks…Had four kills, a dig and a block at Georgia College…Hit .400 with six kills and two digs against Coker…Hit .500 with three kills in one set of action against Lees-McRae.

Previous: Williams was a four-year starter for her Boonsboro High School team collecting nearly 800 career kills playing as both a middle hitter and as an outside hitter...Was voted the team captain and team MVP...Was a first team all-conference and all-county player...Selected as Maxpreps/AVCA Maryland State Player of the Week this past season...Played for Revolution Volleyball Club...Was a member of the National Honor Society and Academic Honor roll...Graduated from Boonsboro High School with highest honors.

Why Taylor chose Wingate:
The moment I walked into the gym and saw the connection between the girls on the court I was hooked. They communicated so well with each other and you could tell that every single person wanted to be there and wanted to get better and push others to be better. I was also able to major in biology and take the classes I needed here all while being apart of a competitive volleyball program with excellent coaches and amazing teammates.

"In her previous three seasons, Taylor has been a part-time starter as an outside hitter and helped us win a championship as a sophomore as our starting middle hitter. Now, as a senior, she will be counted on as a starter at our left-side hitter position, so we are excited about what she will bring in this new role with new responsibilities."
