Biography
2014: An All-SAC second team selection, Schumacher completed his junior season with 22 goals, second on the team charts. He added 10 assists to his ledger for 32 points (third on the team). In 2014, Schumacher was Wingate’s top midfield on both offense and defense. He served on man-up and played the wing on face-offs.
2013: Schumacher posted 10 goals and five assists in 15 games during his sophomore season. He scored three goals in two different games against Lees-McRae and Catawba. Schumacher dished out a season-high two assists against Lees-McRae.
2012: As a true freshman, Schumacher saw time in eight games. He had two assists on the season.
High School: Cory Schumacher played at Battlefield High School for Coach Kevin Marsh. He earned first team all-district, first team all-region, and team Offensive MVP accolades as a senior. He graduated as the school’s all-time leading goal scorer. Schumacher was a high school teammate of fellow Bulldog Zak Goings.
