Wingate University Athletics

2012: Allison Rickher appeared in 35 matches during her junior season at Wingate, getting seven starts. She averaged 1.10 kills per set, ranking fourth on the team with a  .272 hitting percentage. Rickher finished second on the team with 0.87 blocks per set. She hit .333 with six kills in the sweep over Winston-Salem State. Rickher had four kills in six swings against Belmont Abbey, while piling up five kills and six blocks in the 3-1 win over 2011 regional champion Flagler. She had five kills at Lenoir-Rhyne, while notching five blocks against Brevard. Rickher registered seven kills and five blocks against Anderson in the SAC Tournament quarterfinals. She had three kills in three swings against Newberry in the regional semifinals, adding three digs. 

2011: Rickher appeared in 27 matches during her sophomore year at Wingate, posting 1.08 kills and 0.41 blocks per set. Ricker had seven contests of posting at least three kills on the year. She hit .333 with seven kills against St. Andrews. Rickher hit .667 with five kills at Winston-Salem State. She had five kills, three blocks and a .333 hitting percentage against Shaw. Ricker had five kills in 10 swings in the win at Anderson. She had three kills and three digs in one set of action against Carson-Newman.

2010: Rickher appeared in 11 matches during her freshman season at Wingate, notching 14 kills with a .294 hitting percentage. She also had five blocks and two aces during her freshman campaign. Rickher had five kills and two blocks in her collegiate debut against Coker. She had three kills in five swings against Pfeiffer, good for a .600 hitting percentage. Rickher had a kill, two aces and a block against Anderson.

High School: A top student, Rickher was ranked number four in her class of 350 at Weddington High School, graduating suma cum laude. In 2009, she was the Southern Carolina Conference Player of the Year and an All-Union County first team selection. As a junior, she played for Union County Volleyball Club. Rickher teamed with fellow incoming players Kayla Osterhus and Alison Cooke with the Carolina Juniors Volleyball Club in 2009. She led Weddington to back-to-back conference titles, while earning all-conference honors both seasons. Rickher was also the vice president of the National Honor Society at Weddington.

Coach Collier: “Allison entered our program three years ago as a role player, and very impressively has developed her athleticism, her skills and her leadership, and has evolved into a captain and a key player for our team. She is one of our strongest blockers, is an influential leader, and has improved in all aspects of her game. She will be a key factor for us as a middle hitter."
