2016: Christian Szalay earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team at the NCAA Final Four during his first season at Wingate…Appeared in all 20 games, making 19 starts while logging over 1,000 minutes…Had four goals and two assists on the season…Scored a goal in his first game as a Bulldog in Wingate’s 3-0 victory over #17 Rollins…Had an assist in the 2-1 win against Lander…Notched an assist in the 2-1 victory at Queens…Scored a goal in the 8-1 win against Coker…Scored both goals in the NCAA national semifinals, leading the ‘Dogs to a 2-0 win over #10 UC San Diego…Scored the first goal less than three minutes into the Final Four contest, while adding an insurance goal in the 70th minute to lead the Bulldogs to their first-ever NCAA national championship match.
