Biography

2017: Pablo Jara became the first three-time All-American in Wingate men's soccer history in his junior season, earning third team honors from the United Soccer Coaches...Earned All-SAC and All-Region honors for the third consecutive year...Led the conference in goals-against average...Collected 53 saves with a .757 save percentage while registering seven shutouts...His 29 career shutouts rank second in SAC history...Played all but 25 minutes of the season in goal for the SAC champion Bulldogs...Collected six saves in the Newberry win...Had three saves in the SAC Tournament semifinal shutout, adding five saves in the SAC title match victory over Queens. 

2016: Jara earned first team All-SAC and All-Region honors for the second straight year, while also picking up All-American accolades for the second time in as many years…Earned second team All-American recognition from the NSCAA while earning honorable mention All-American accolades from D2CCA…Led the nation in goals-against average, allowing just eight goals in 1,794 minutes played, collecting 43 saves while posting 12 shutouts…Led the SAC and ranked fourth nationally in save percentage…Collected back-to-back shutouts in SAC wins over Newberry and LMU…Notched two straight road shutouts at Catawba and Lenoir-Rhyne…Had two saves in the 3-0 win over Limestone in the regional semifinals…Piled up seven saves in the 1-0 win over defending national champion Pfeiffer in the regional title match as Wingate handed the defending national champs their first shutout in over two years…Collected four saves in the national quarterfinal victory over Tampa…Had a pair of saves against UC San Diego in the 2-0 victory in the national semifinals…Collected two saves to preserve the shutout over Charleston in the national title match.

2015: Jara piled up the awards during his freshman season at Wingate…The SAC Freshman of the Year earned first team All-SAC and All-Region accolades, while also being named the MVP of the SAC Tournament…First Wingate freshman to make an All-American team, earning third team honors from the NSCAA…Played every minute in goal, leading the league with a 0.79 goals-against average and 10 shutouts while ranking second with a .804 save percentage…Collected 74 saves in over 1900 minutes of action, allowing only 18 goals in his 22 starts…Had seven saves in the win at Mars Hill…Notched back-to-back shutouts in wins over Queens and Newberry…Did not allow a goal in three SAC Tournament matches to earn MVP honors…Converted the successful penalty kick against Lander in the NCAA Tournament opening round match to send the Bulldogs to the regional semifinals.
