2016-17: Bricesen Burton won the 200 Backstroke consolation final at the 2017 Bluegrass Mountain Conference championship meet in Charlotte…his time was 1:51.04…Posted three top 11 finishes at the 2017 BMC meet: ninth in the 200 Backstroke, 10th in the 100 Backstroke (51.11) and 11th in the 200 Freestyle (1:43.72)…Burton and his teammates finished second in the 2017 BMC championship meet…

Prior to Wingate: Bricesen Burton will contribute to the sprint Freestyle and Backstroke events for the Bulldogs. Burton swam for head coach Lee Lewis at Brookeville High School. He received team MVP all four years during his high school career. Burton was voted captain each of his four years in high school, while receiving All-District Swimmer of the Year honors as well. Burton posted two top-five finishes in the Virginia High School 3A State Championships in the 100 Freestyle (48.51, fourth) and the 50 Freestyle (21.91, fifth). Burton spent one year at Central Virginia Community College before transferring to Wingate University for the 2015-16 academic year.
