2008-09: As a team captain his junior year, Carlos Jones set the example of how all student athletes should hold themselves, both at practice and on campus. Jones was a sprint freestyler and butterflyer; he posted best times in four events. Jones’ top finishes included a win in the 100 Butterfly against King College and a win as a part of the 400 Medley relay in that same meet.

2007-08: Jones was an all-conference performer for the Bulldogs in his sophomore year. He finished 12th in the 100 Yard Butterfly at the BGMC Meet with a time of 53.94.

2006-07: Jones was a member of the 200 yard medley relay team. He is a butterfly specialist, finishing sixth in the meet with Davidson and VMI in January.

HIGH SCHOOL: Jones was the captain and MVP for the Southwest Dekalb High School swimming team in his senior season. Jones earned four varsity letters for the Panthers. He was a state meet finalist in the 100 Butterfly. As a member of the Dekalb Aquatics team, Jones was a three-time sectional qualifier. He also holds the program’s 100 Butterfly record. Carlos is the son of Charles and Debra Jones.
