2013-14: Chris Morris swam a career-best 24.82 in the 50 Backstroke at the ninth annual SCAD College Invitational in Savannah, Ga. Dec. 5. Morris opened his season swimming a personal-best time of 25.03 in the 50 Backstroke at the Quad Meet in Charlotte (WU Swim top times report).

2012-13: Morris swam a 1:51.35 200 Backstroke in the 15th annual Bluegrass Mountain Conference Swimming Championships, earning a seventh-place finish and a spot on the All-BMC team. His 1:51.35 is the fifth-best time in WU swimming history. He recorded two other personal-best times at the BMC event, with a 51.11 in the 100 Backstroke and a 1:45.06 in the 200 Freestyle. Morris had a good weekend at the SCAD Invitational, with lifetime bests in the 50 Backstroke (25.31) and the 100 Freestyle (49.46) (WU Swim top times report).

2011-12: Morris was named to the All-BMC team in the 100 Backstroke (51.97) and the 200 Backstroke (1:52.37), boosting Wingate to the BMC championship crown. He also recorded personal-best times in the 50 Freestyle (22.90) and the 100 Butterfly (52.05) at the BMC event.

Personal: Chris Morris was a three-year team captain at Millville High School. He was named the team MVP twice in his career. Morris earned all-conference accolades in the Butterfly (twice) and the Backstroke (once). Chris is the son of Christine and James Tice and Michael Morris.
