Biography
2018-19 (JUNIOR)
- Competed in three events at the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championship: 500-yard freestyle (15th, 4:42.87), 1000-yard freestyle (14th, 9:43.18), 1650-yard freestyle (14th, 16:31.79)
- Co-directed Wingate's nationally-recognized Special Olympics Swimming program during the spring semester
2017-18 (SOPHOMORE)
- Repeated as an All-Bluegrass Mountain Conference selection in the 1650 Freestyle, thanks to his bronze medal time of 15:53.76
- Swam in the BMC 1000 Freestyle championship final, finishing seventh with his time of 9:34.42
- Won the consolation final in the BMC 500 Freestyle as a result of his 4:38.88 time
- Wingate claimed second place on the 2018 BMC team leader board
- Earned fifth place in the SCAD Savannah Invitational 500 Freestyle with his time of 16:03.62

2016-17 (FRESHMAN)
- Received All-Bluegrass Mountain Conference honors in the 1650 Freestyle at the 2017 BMC event in Charlotte, thanks to his fifth-place time of 16:00.51
- Earned 12th place in the BMC 1000 Freestyle (9:44.02)
- Won the bonus race in the BMC 500 Freestyle (4:39.48)
- O’Brien and his teammates finished second in the 2017 BMC championship meet
