Biography
2008-09: Kyle Corcoran’s season last year was an extremely successful one. As a junior, he racked up All-American Awards in addition to two conference titles. Corcoran posted three best times at the 2009 NCAA Championships including the 400 Individual Medley (fourth place), as well as the 500 Freestyle and the 200 Breaststroke.
2007-08: Corcoran was an All-American in three events during the 2007-08 year and is a part of four Wingate men's swimming records, including the 500 Freestyle (4:36.54), 200 IM (1:50.91), 400 IM (3:56.21) and 400 Freestyle Relay (3:03.01). Corcoran was the conference champion in the 200 Individual Medley with a time of 1:52.92, as well as the 400 IM (4:02.18) and the 800 Freestyle Relay (6:48:60).
2006-07: Corcoran won 200 Individual Medley at the BGMC Championships with a school-record time of 1:54.03. He also won the 400 Individual Medley with a time of 4:01.14, which was a meet record and school-record. He placed sixth in the 200 Individual Medley at the national championships with a time of 1:53.47. He was named a first team All-American.
HIGH SCHOOL: Corcoran was a four-year letter winner at Kentwood High School. Corcoran was team captain of his high school swimming team his junior season. In addition, he was the team MVP for his final three seasons with the Conquerors. Corcoran was a four-time state qualifier. He finished fifth in both the 200 and 500 IM his senior year. Kyle is the son of Robert and Victoria Corcoran.
