Biography
2012-13: Reed Miller’s breakout 2012-13 season included finalist appearances in both the 2013 BMC and NCAA meets for the first time in career. Originally a walk-on for the Bulldogs, Miller was a 2013 All-American (two events). He earned Capital One Academic All-America® honors as well.
Miller was an All-American in the 50 Freestyle and the 200 Freestyle Relay as Wingate placed sixth in the 2013 NCAA Division II national championship meet. Miller was a key component as the Bulldogs won their sixth-straight BMC meet.
At the 2013 Bluegrass Mountain Conference meet, Miller helped Wingate win the gold medal in the 200 Free Relay and the bronze medal in the 200 Medley Relay. At Wingate’s athletic awards ceremony, Miller won Wingate men’s swimming top academic award (
WU Swim top time report).
2011-12: Miller was All-Bluegrass Mountain Conference in the 200 Freestyle Relay as Wingate finished third with a time of 1:22.53.
2010-11: Miller helped Wingate post a time of 1:34.12 in the Bluegrass Mountain Conference 200 Medley Relay event. For his efforts, he earned a spot on the All-BMC team in the same event.
Personal: Reed Miller was a team co-captain his senior year for head coach
Dan Howat at Baker High School. Baker won the county championship Miller’s senior season. At the same meet, Miller won two individual events and led two winning relay teams as well. In March 2009, he attended junior nationals. Prior to joining the Wingate family, Miller spent one year at the University of South Alabama. He will have four years of eligibility for the Bulldogs.
