2017-18: Team captain for the Bulldogs…

2016-17: Sebastian Holmberg claimed All-American honors in three events at the NCAA national championship meet in Birmingham…Finished second in the 400 Freestyle Relay (2:55.01), fifth in the 100 Butterfly (47.19) and sixth in the 200 Freestyle Relay (1:20.52)…Posted honorable mention All-American in three additional events (the 200 Medley Relay, the 100 Freestyle and the 100 Backstroke)…Competed in seven events at the 2017 Bluegrass Mountain Conference championship meet in Charlotte, finishing seventh or better in each one…All-BMC in the 400 Freestyle Relay (second, 2:56.62), the 100 Butterfly (third, 48.50) and the 100 Backstroke (fifth, 49.36)…fourth in three relay races (200 and 400 Medley Relays and the 200 Freestyle Relay) and seventh in the 100 Freestyle…Holmberg and his teammates finished second in the 2017 BMC championship meet…Named a CSCAA Scholar All-American for his achievements in the classroom and the pool…

2015-16: Holmberg did not swim, as he spent the season as a redshirt.

Prior to Wingate: Sebastian Holmberg joined the Wingate family as a transfer from Bluegrass Mountain Conference rival Catawba College, where he swam for head coach Betsy Graham. In the 2015 BMC event, Holmberg placed in the top three for each of his individual events, reaching personal bests in the 100 Backstroke (47.85, second) and the 100 Butterfly (46.51, second). The All-BMC performer went on to compete in the NCAA DII championship meet, claiming All-American distinction in the 100 Butterfly with a time of 46.73 (fourth place). Earlier in the 2015 NCAA event, he earned honorable mention All-American laurels in the 100 Backstroke and the 100 Freestyle. Holmberg posted another personal best in the 100 Freestyle (44.25, 10th) to obtain honorable mention laurels. In the 2013 NCAA national championship meet, Holmberg placed fifth in the 100 Butterfly to claim first team All-American honors.
