Morton joins the coaching staff at Wingate University after a successful state championship run at Union Academy Charter. The Cardinals were 26-4 and named the NCHSSA 1A State Champions in 2023. Before joining the staff at Union Academy, Morton spent five years at Appalachian State with 220 career starts behind the plate including the shortened COVID-19 year. During her time at App State, she hit 33 home runs with 109 RBIs and 135 career walks. Morton spent her high school career at Parkwood High School where she helped lead her team to its first softball State Championship in 2017.
