Kayleigh Behymer joined the Wingate University coaching staff as the Graduate Assistant Coach in the summer of 2019. She comes to Wingate after earning her Bachelor of Science Degree at Avila University in May of 2019.
Behymer was a four-year starter for the Eagles, earning all-conference honors twice in her career. She holds 15 school records at Avila, including career wins (71), single-season wins (22), career winning percentage (.657), strikeouts (373) and innings pitched (716). Behymer led the Eagles to a pair of conference titles and the opening round of the NAIA World Series in 2017 and 2019.
Behymer began her career as a pitching instructor in 2014, etching mechanics and techniques to girls from ages 10-18. She provided guidance on college recruiting while serving as a mentor to young female student-athletes about future academic endeavors.
Behymer served as the Tournament Director for four years at Top Gun Events, LLC. She was also the Tournament Director for Midwest Sports Productions in 2018. She is currently pursuing her Master’s of Art in Sport Management from Wingate University
