2008: Heather Winchester hit .312 in 2008 and collected 19 RBI and 64 total bases. She was a second team all-conference selection while also being named to the All-SAC Tournament team. Winchester had 12 multi-hit games in 2008 and registered 3 hits and 3 RBI in the second game of a doubleheader versus Queens on February 28th. The Waxhaw, N.C. native finished the season with 11 doubles and three home runs, while committing only one error in left field all season.

2007: In 2007, Heather Winchester batted .287 with one home run, 26 RBI, 11 doubles, 21 runs scored and two stolen bases. Winchester started 48 games in right field and nine games at shortstop. 

2006: Winchester started 55 games for the Bulldogs as a freshman. She had a multiple home run game in the second game of a doubleheader against Catawba College. Winchester batted .197 with 23 runs, 25 RBI and three home runs.

PERSONAL: Heather is the daughter of John and June Winchester. Winchester played softball and ran cross country at Weddington High School. As a senior, she hit .408 with 11 RBI. In addition, she compiled a 0.70 ERA (tops in Union County) with 105 strikeouts as a pitcher. She was the co-Player of the Year in Union County and an All-State honoree as a senior. Weddington’s team MVP and co-captain as a senior, Winchester was a three-time All-South Piedmont (3A) Conference selection and a four-time All-Union County pick. She was the SPC Player of the Year as a senior. She was honorable mention All-State her sophomore and junior seasons. In cross country, she was All-Conference her sophomore campaign. She is majoring in Sport Management.
