2012: Appeared in 36 games, starting 32 contests…Hit .239 with a double, two RBI and 11 runs scored…Had five sacrifices on the year…Scored three runs in the season-opening doubleheader at Erskine…Reached base three times against Limestone with a hit and two walks…Went two-for-two against Bloomsburg…Was one-for-two with a run scored against Newberry…Went two-for-three with a run scored against Anderson, adding a sacrifice…Drove in a run at Brevard…Was one-for-two with a double and a run scored against Tusculum…Went two-for-three with an RBI and two runs scored in the second game against Tusculum.

2011: Appeared in 43 games during her sophomore season, with 42 starts…Led the team with 21 sacrifices…Also led Wingate with five stolen bases…Fourth on the team with 20 runs scored…Finished the season with 31 hits, a triple and six RBI…Had a .293 on-base percentage…Had 37 putouts and two assists in the outfield without committing an error on the season…

2010: Kasey Pendley appeared in 27 games, getting seven starts in her first year with the Bulldogs. She had four hits and 11 runs scored. She scored a run in both games of the season-opening doubleheader against Augusta State. Pendley was two-for-four with a run scored at Lander. She had a hit and run scored against Catawba in the SAC Tournament.

Personal: Pendley played four softball seasons for head coaches Jennifer Sprinkle and Catriona Young at McDowell High School. Pendley earned All-Conference, All-District and All-State honors her final two seasons for the Titans. As a pitcher, she led McDowell in strikeouts (88) her final two years. Offensively, Pendley topped the charts in steals (22) her junior year. She was second on the 2008 team list in batting average (.454). In 2008, McDowell beat national powerhouse Alexander Central in the first round of the 4A state play-offs. The Titans advanced to the third round of the play-offs the same year. In 2009, Pendley hit .484 with a .575 on-base percentage. She posted a sterling .986 fielding percentage the same year. Kasey Pendley is the daughter of Jeff and Cyndi Pendley. She is a Physical Education major.

Why Kasey chose Wingate: I just found it to be very friendly and a lot like home. I also knew that the Wingate Softball held a great tradition of excellence and I wanted to be part of that!
