2016: Katie Bludau earned honorable mention All-Region accolades from the AVCA during her junior season…Earned a spot on the All-SAC Tournament Team…Finished second on the team in total kills, compiling 2.80 kills per set to finish 11th in the conference…Led the SAC with 0.42 aces per set, adding 1.34 digs and .36 blocks per set…Collected double-digit kills 15 times on the year…Hit .320 with 11 kills in the Belmont Abbey win, followed by a 12-kill, nine-dig effort in the win over USC Aiken…Registered 14 kills in the Limestone victory, while hitting .370 with 14 kills in the King win…Hit .357 with 12 kills in the Anderson sweep, followed by a 17-kill performance against Lenoir-Rhyne, hitting .571 while adding seven aces…Had 15 kills and seven digs at Mars Hill, while collecting 17 kills and six digs at Tusculum…Hit .667 with 10 kills in the Queens sweep…Had 11 kills in wins over Carson-Newman and Mars Hill…Hit .333 with 17 kills and eight digs against Tusculum in the SAC Tournament quarterfinals…Hit .304 with 11 kills in the semifinals.

2015: Bludau finished fourth on the team with 2.28 kills per set during her second season at Wingate…Overcame an early season injury to appear in 28 matches, making 23 starts…Collected 1.05 digs and 0.40 blocks per set, finishing second on the team with 23 aces…Had double-digit kills eight times on the year, starting with an 11-kill performance against Erskine in her season debut…Collected 10 kills against Mars Hill…Hit .500 with eight kills in two sets at Coker…Hit .375 with 12 kills at Catawba, while also notching 12 kills in her next match at Queens…Piled up 16 kills with a .351 hitting percentage against Anderson while adding six digs…Collected 14 kills, six digs and three aces against LMU in the SAC Tournament semifinals…Piled up a career-high 17 kills against Lenoir-Rhyne in the SAC title match to go along with six digs…Had 11 kills and 11 digs against Lander in the NCAA Tournament.

2014: Bludau appeared in 36 matches during her freshman season at Wingate, earning All-SAC Freshman honors…Finished fifth on the team with 166 kills, averaging 1.60 kills per set while adding 84 digs, 28 aces and 18 blocks…Had eight matches with eight or more kills on the year…Hit .429 with eight kills in the Erskine sweep…Had 10 kills and six digs in the Brevard sweep, hitting .429…Piled up 11 kills and 11 digs in the win at Newberry, while hitting .615 with nine kills in the Coker sweep…Had 12 kills and six digs against Coker, followed by a 12-kill performance at Tusculum, hitting .478…Collected eight kills and six digs with a .312 hitting percentage against Armstrong in the regional title match.

Previous: Bludau was the leading hitter at Clear Falls High School...Led them to a #9 state ranking and a #2 Houston area ranking last season...Was an All-State selection as a senior and was named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association 5A All-Star team along with the Greater Houston Coaches Association All-Star team...Clear Falls made it to the semifinals of the state playoffs, marking the best finish in school history...Bludau set a record for most aces in state playoff match with nine...Was a member of the USA Youth National High Performance A2 team that competed in the International Division of the HP Championships in 2012...Was also selected to the invitation-only USA Holiday Camp in 2012...represented Absolute Volleyball Academy as a sophomore and junio...Played for Houston Stellar in 2014.

Why Katie Chose Wingate
I chose Wingate because, Coach Collier, Coach Abbi, and the girls past and present of Wingate Volleyball. Also, because of the great success Wingate Volleyball has had. I knew I wanted to be a apart of and contribute to the success of this team immediately. It has been the best decision of my life!!
