Wingate University Athletics

2010: Stephanie Simmons appeared in 31 games as a freshman at Wingate, starting seven times. She had seven hits, seven RBI and four runs scored. She had a hit and RBI in her collegiate debut against Augusta State. Simmons had a double and two RBI against Belmont Abbey. She had two RBI and a run scored against St. Andrews. Simmons was one-for-one with an RBI and run scored at Carson-Newman.

Personal: Simmons was a three-year captain of the St. Stephens softball team, where she played for head coach Jan Davis. She was a four-time all-conference, three-time all-district and two-time all-state performer in her career. Simmons led St. Stephens to a sectional title in her senior season, leading the team in batting average and slugging percentage. Simmons was also a two-year captain on the basketball team, while also playing volleyball for one year in high school. She graduated with honors and was a junior marshal. Stephanie is the daughter of Steve and Chris Simmons. She is a Biology major.
