Elana Ingram spent the last four years with the Wingate women's basketball program. She graduated in May with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Psychology with a minor in community and Youth Development.
Ingram appeared in 52 games during her first two seasons at Wingate, contributing 7.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game as a sophomore in the 2019-20 season while leading the Bulldogs and ranking seventh in the SAC with 47 steals. She was also second on the team with 44 assists during her sophomore season.
"Being able to retain Elana is exciting," Hancock says. "With her knowledge of what we do and how we do things, she will make a smooth transition. The players will have a comfort level of knowing what to expect and seek her help and advice on how to navigate the college basketball experience. Although she has not been on the court due to injury the past two years, she has stayed engaged and continued to learn the game. She will definitely be an asset to the program and the Wingate community."
