PRIOR TO WINGATE
Hatfield starred during her time for the Mount Tabor Spartans, joining the 1,000-point club in her junior season, while earning Northwest Player of the Year honors and receiving a 3-star wing rating by ESPN.com. After high school, she went on to showcase her talents at High Point University under head coach DeUnna Hendrix. As a freshman, she started every game and was named to the Big South All-Freshman team while recording a Big South Tournament record by securing 23 rebounds in a single game. Following her time at High Point, Hatfield spent two seasons at the University of California San Diego under head coach Heidi Vanderveer. While averaging a double-double, she led the team in rebounds and three-point field goal percentage. She and the Tritons went on to set a school record of 30 consecutive wins while Hatfield notched NCAA West Region All-Tournament team and All-CCAA second team honors.
As a Dean's list student, Hatfield has excelled in the classroom as well. She was also involved in volunteering with a special needs softball organization outside the classroom.
