Wingate University Athletics

2011-12: Jecia Anderson played in 17 games as Wingate won the SAC regular season and tournament titles. She started back-to-back contests against Lincoln Memorial and Catawba. In the LMU contest, Anderson hit three-of-three field goals en route to six points. She tallied four points against Lenoir-Rhyne. For the season, she posted 0.6 points per game and 0.4 rebounds per game.

2010-11: Anderson saw action in 18 games for the Bulldogs. She averaged 0.5 pointsper game and 1.0 rebounds per game as Wingate advanced to the SAC tournament finals and earned a spot in the NCAA Division II play-offs. Anderson had six points on three-of-three shooting in a victory at Lincoln Memorial. She had three rebounds on two occasions (at Tusculum and versus Catawba in SAC tourney).

2009-10:  Anderson saw action in 16 games as a true freshman, starting one (Newberry). She had five points in a victory over Sacred Heart (P.R.). Anderson tallied four points on two occasions: North Greenville and Tusculum. Her season-high rebounds (five) came in a victory over Brevard. On the season, Anderson averaged 1.3 points per game and 1.6 rebounds per game. She played a season-high 15 minutes against American (P.R.).

High School: Anderson and her Stevens High School Falcons teammates had a very successful 2008-09 season, posting a 25-9 overall record. Anderson averaged seven points per game and eight rebounds per game during her senior season. 

Anderson’s aunt (Tonya Roper) is one of the top shot blockers in South Atlantic Conference history. Roper played for Wingate from 1991-94.
