Wingate University Athletics

2012: Meaghan Barry appeared in 18 games during her junior season, starting six contests. She had a goal and an assist on the season, compiling three points while taking nine shots, including three shots on goal. Barry scored a goal in Wingate’s 6-1 season-opening victory over Limestone. She added an assist in the 3-0 win against Carson-Newman. 

2011: Barry appeared in all 20 Wingate games during her sophomore season, starting nine matches. She had a goal and two assists, while also playing a key role in the dominant Wingate defensive efforts. Barry registered an assist against in Wingate’s 2-1 win over Georgia College, while also notching an assist against Nova Southeastern. She scored the game-winner in the 3-0 victory over Brevard.

2010: As a true freshman, Barry saw time in 10 matches for the Bulldogs. She started one contest.

Barry played her club soccer for Naples Youth Soccer Club with coach Chris Palumbo and her high school soccer for Barron Collier under the tutelage of coach Ray Morgan. Barry was All-Conference and All-County four years each for the BCHS Cougars. She served as a team captain her junior and senior seasons, receiving MVP laurels her junior year. Barry also participated in cross country and track and field in high school. She was team MVP in cross country as a freshman and team captain as a sophomore. Meaghan is the daughter of Richard and Sheila Barry. Her brother, Mike, played football at Colgate University.
