High School: Amanda Angel was a member of the cross country, indoor track and outdoor track teams at East Henderson. Her cross country and indoor track coach was
Justin McKenzie, while her outdoor track coach was
Justin Polizzi. Individually, Angel was all-county in cross country as a senior, while earning all-conference honors as a freshman and a junior. The EHHS Eagles won the Henderson County cross country championship her senior year. In addition, the East Henderson XC team won the conference crown her junior year, while taking regional runners-up honors her final two seasons. In outdoor track, the Eagles won the conference title Angel’s junior year. Academically, Angel was recognized as an N.C. Scholar. Amanda is the daughter of
