Biography
2011: Varnadoe was voted to the 2012 pre-season All-SAC team. As a sophomore, she finished fourth in the Pre-SAC Invitational with a 5K time of 21:13. Overall, Varnadoe had three top-20 finishes. In addition to the Pre-SAC event, she was 12th in the Bulldog Stampede (21:45) and 16th at the Food Lion SAC championship meet (21:02). Her best 5K time was a 20:40 at the Disney World Classic.
2010: Varnadoe ran in all seven meets for the Bulldogs as a freshman. She had two top-twenty finishes on the season and finished 37th in the SAC Championship meet. Her fastest 5K time of the season came in the Greater Louisville Classic, where she finished in 21:15.
Personal: Varnadoe is a member of the Sport Sciences Majors Club and the Wingate Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). During her free time she enjoys reading, chasing tornadoes and running.
High School: A Marietta High School graduate, Taylor Varnadoe helped lead her team to two Southeastern Ohio Athletic League Championships in cross country. She was also named first team All-Conference her senior season. On the track, Varnadoe was a two-time regional qualifier in the 4x800 meter relay, 1600 meters and 3200 meters. Taylor is the daughter of Perry and Nan Varnadore.
