Biography
Personal: Karli Soracco joins the Bulldog family after graduating from the Leavitt Area (Maine) High School with a 4.0 GPA in June 2011. She plans to major in Education.
Soracco has played competitive golf for several years. During her senior year, her scores averaged 79 with her best round of 71 (-1). Her high school does not have a women’s golf team, so Soracco played on the men’s team for her high school career. She played either #1 or #2 position from the men’s tees. She was the only girl in Maine to earn All-Region honors in 2009.
She has competed in the Maine State Golf Championship, placing sixth in her freshman and sophomore years and second in her junior year. In 2010, Soracco won the Maine Junior Amateur Golf Championship as well as the Club Championship at her home course, Turner Highlands Golf Club. During each of her high school seasons, she was named to the Kennebec Valley All-Conference team.
