Biography
Personal: Kelly Mansfield graduated from West Carteret High School in Morehead City with a weighted 4.4 GPA in June, 2011. She plans to be a science major in anticipation of entering Wingate’s School of Pharmacy. Mansfield won academic achievement awards in 2008 and 2009. She was named to the National Honor Society in 2010.
On the links, Mansfield was the Coastal Conference Player of the Year in 2010. The team co-captain, Mansfield qualified for the 3-A State High School Championship in 2009 and 2010 at Longleaf Golf Club in Pinehurst. In junior golf, Mansfield finished second at the Duke New Years Open in 2010. She won the Cherry Point Junior Golf Club Championship in 2009 and the Emerald Classic in 2010.
As a member of the West Carteret swimming team, Mansfield qualified for Regional events in 2008, 2009 and 2010. In 2008, she qualified for the N.C. state championship meet in the 500 Freestyle.
