2017: Joanna King saw time in 17 games with 13 starts as a true freshman…scored nine goals and dished out 11 assists…added seven ground balls, eight draw controls and two caused turnovers to her season stat ledger…scored a season-best three goals in Wingate’s 15-14 SAC tournament semi-final victory over Coker, including two in the pivotal second half…one goal and three assists each in wins over Pfeiffer and LMU…two assists in triumph over Chowan…South Atlantic Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll student…
Prior to Wingate: Joanna King joins Addison Billings as the first of two Pennsylvania natives to play women’s lacrosse for the Bulldogs. An attacker for Lampeter-Strasburg High School, King helped lead her team to an overall record of 11-7 in her senior season. A four-year varsity letter winner, she racked up 12 goals and 20 assists in her senior campaign. King played her club seasons with Ultimate Lacrosse Club. Joanna is the daughter of William (who played college basketball at LeTourneau University) and Virginia King. She is the sister of three siblings, Ashley, Kaeleigh and JB.
