Biography
2016: Laura Swanson played in 14 games with 14 starts…posted two goals and four assists to her statistical ledger…her 25 ground balls were tied for seventh on the team charts…caused 10 turnovers on the season…scored goals in victories over Belmont Abbey and Young Harris…handed out four assists with one each in four games…
2015: Swanson played and started in six games for the Bulldogs during her sophomore season…recorded 15 total shots, 13 of them on goal…scored seven times...she caused three turnovers…
2014: Swanson received honorable mention All-SAC distinction following her freshman season...second on the Bulldog scoring charts with her 21 goals...equaled teammate Logan Bounds with five goals and one assist against Erskine...had three goals each against Methodist, Brevard and Newberry...
High School: Swanson played her scholastic lacrosse at South Plantation High School for head coach Hilary Grimes. In her junior season, Swanson recorded 14 goals and eight assists and dramatically improved upon those numbers in 2013 (her senior season), when she was the team leader in both categories with 50 goals and 15 assists. Swanson was a team captain her junior and senior years. Current Bulldogs Morgan Insel and Natalie Quinchia were Swanson’s SPHS teammates.
