2016: All-South Atlantic Conference…Morgan Insel started in each of the team’s 17 contests for her junior campaign…recorded 26 ground balls, good for fifth on the WU team list...led the Bulldogs in caused turnovers with 11…posted her first goal of the season in a victory at North Greenville…recorded her first assist in the SAC triumph against Lincoln Memorial…
2015: Insel was selected to the All-SAC first team, leading the Bulldogs in ground balls (49) and caused turnovers (16)...put together four shots, two assists and one goal…has started every game (24-of-24) since she arrived on the Wingate campus…Insel and her teammates allowed single-digit goals five times, including two of the last three regular season games…Bulldogs were 5-0 overall when allowing single-digit goals…
2014: Insel scored goals in four games during Wingate’s inaugural women’s lacrosse season...recorded a season-high three goals in the Bulldogs’ 22-7 SAC victory at Brevard...had one goal each in contests against Methodist, Lenoir-Rhyne and Erskine...
High School: Morgan Insel played her scholastic lacrosse at South Plantation High School for head coach Hilary Grimes. As a senior, Insel helped the Paladins win the District 23 championship. South Plantation compiled a 16-2 overall record her final season. Current Bulldogs Natalie Quinchia and Laura Swanson were Insel’s SPHS teammates. Insel was also a competitive diver throughout her high school years.
