2016: All-South Atlantic Conference…Paulena Dempsey finished second in goal scoring with 56 goals after posting 23 total goals in 2015…topped the Wingate charts in points (73), while finishing second in assists (17), second in shots (103) and second in shots on goal (81)….picked up 25 ground balls and recorded 10 caused turnovers…netted a season-best six tallies against Chowan…had four five-goal games in her junior campaign versus Wheeling Jesuit, Lees-McRae, NAIA number one SCAD-Savannah and Catawba…earned SAC Offensive Player of the Week honors on Feb. 22 and March 29...

2015: Dempsey played in 14 games her sophomore season, starting in 11 of them...saw time in three contests as a goalie…She scored a total of 23 goals for Wingate…37 of her 41 shots were on goal…in three games as goalie, she faced 42 shots and made 14 saves on the year…contributed four goals in Catawba SAC tourney contest…scored three goals in each of three other match-ups during the season…SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll student…

Prior to Wingate: Dempsey is a transfer from Harford County, Md. She played at Harford Community College for head coach Nikki Murphy. Although only a freshman, Dempsey ended her season with 18 goals, seven assists, 25 points, 25 shots on goal and 21 draw controls.
