2019 (JUNIOR)
  • Was named an AVCA honorable mention All-American in her junior season
  • Earned first team All-SAC honors
  • Was an AVCA All-Region selection, while earning first team All-Region accolades from the D2CCA
  • Was the only player in the region with over three kills and a block a set hitting over .300 in the regular season 
  • Ranked fourth in the SAC in kills per set and blocks per set, ranking 10th in hitting percentage
  • Averaged 3.19 kills and 1.13 blocks per set, hitting .296 overall
  • Finished the year with 332 kills, 118 blocks and 14 aces
  • Registered double-digit kills in 18 matches
  • Had 10 kills and four blocks in the sweep over Augusta

  • Most memorable sports moment is when we won the Regional Tournament at home to go to the Elite Eight my sophomore year
  • Favorite sport to play other than Volleyball is basketball

  • Something people don't know about me is I have a black belt in Taekwondo
  • Nickname: Soph or Sophie

Why Sophie chose Wingate:
"I chose Wingate because of the environment and how encouraging the team is, they always make you feel at home and welcome each time you see them!"

Collier:
"Sophie has established herself as a very strong, improving middle attacker and blocker in our program. Our plan is that she will red-shirt this season, so when Holmquist and Havenaar complete their careers in December, she will be more than ready to step in and fill one of these important positions in our lineup."
