2015-16: Caitlin Coughlin won an NCAA Division II national championship in the 200 Freestyle Relay, capping an incredible junior year. Coughlin and three teammates posted a gold medal-winning time of 1:31.80 as Wingate earned a school-record second place team finish in the 2016 NCAA Division II national championship meet. She swam career-best times in the 50 Freestyle (23.65), the 100 Freestyle (52.07) and the 100 Butterfly (55.62) at the same event.

2014-15: Coughlin contributed to the Bulldog cause in the sprint Freestyle and Butterfly events for the 2014-15 season. During the Bluegrass Mountain Conference meet, she swam personal-best times in the 50 Freestyle (24.02, 11th place) and the 100 Butterfly (56.39, 10th place). In the BMC 200 Butterfly competition, she posted a 2:08.19 for a 23rd place finish. Coughlin also swam in the 200 Freestyle Relay, helping the ‘Dogs take second place and earn All-BMC relay honors. Coughlin competed at the NCAA championship meet, gaining All-American distinction in the 200 Freestyle Relay. Individually, she participated in the 100 Butterfly (57.18, 32nd place) and the 50 Freestyle (24.34, 54th place) at the NCAA event.

2013-14: Coughlin swam several Bulldog career-best times at the ninth annual SCAD College Invitational in Savannah, Ga. Dec. 5: 25.01 (50 Freestyle), 54.19 (100 Freestyle), 1:58.76 (200 Freestyle), 59.72 (100 Butterfly) and 2:11.81 (200 Butterfly).

At the Queens vs. Wingate dual meet, she swam the following times: 25.42 (50 Freestyle) and 1:00.79 (100 Butterfly). She opened her collegiate career at the 2013 All-N.C. Invitational in Greensboro with the following times: 25.43 (50 Freestyle), 56.26 (100 Freestyle) and 1:02.00 (100 Fly).

Personal: Coughlin hails from Cochranville, Pa. The daughter of Jim and Cheryl Coughlin, she attended Octorara Area High School, where she was All State in one event. A YMCA National Qualifier in five events, her top three events and times are 50 Free (24.86), 100 Fly (59.62) and 100 Free (55.72). When Coughlin is not swimming, she loves to hang out with her friends.
