2013-14: Katie Pheil swam the following career-best times at the ninth annual SCAD College Invitational in Savannah, Ga. Dec. 5: 23.47 (50 Freestyle) and 50.96 (100 Freestyle). On Nov. 22 at the Wingate Fall Frenzy, she swam 2:07.97 in the 200 Individual Medley. At the Quad Meet in Charlotte, she swam 5:09.23 in the 500 Freestyle. Pheil opened her season at the 2013 All-N.C. Invitational in Greensboro with a 27.80 in the 50 Backstroke (WU Swim top times report).

2012-13: Pheil won three events at the 2013 Bluegrass Mountain Conference meet: the 200 Backstroke, the 200 Freestyle Relay and the 400 Medley Relay. She was All-BMC in eight events. At the 2013 NCAA Division II national championships, she was an All-American in six events: the 200 Freestyle and the 200 Breaststroke and four relays (200 Free Relay, 400 Medley Relay, 400 Freestyle Relay and 800 Freestyle Relay). She was an honorable mention AA choice in the 100 Backstroke.
 
Four of her eight season-best times were accomplished at the 2013 Division II Men’s and Women’s Championship. She now owns the best time in Wingate swimming history in the 50 Freestyle (23.74), 100 Freestyle (51.49), 200 Freestyle (1:48.53), 100 Backstroke (55.63) and the 200 Backstroke (1:57.38).
 
Pheil was also a part of several relay teams with the top time ever recorded at Wingate, including the 200 Free Relay (1:34.40), 400 Free Relay (3:27.59), 400 Medley Relay (3:44.56) and the 800 Free Relay (7:33.22) (WU Swim top times report).
