2011-12: Paige Schmidt has earned conference championships in the 1000 and the 1650 Freestyle events during her career. She is a three-year All-American performer who was the University’s Freshman Female Athlete of the Year in 2010. Paige has 11 All-Conference swims and seven All-American swims. She is a two-time team MVP.

2010-11: One of the top distance swimmers in the NCAA, Schmidt received All-American distinction in the 1000 and 1650 Freestyle events as a sophomore. At the BMC meet, she was an All-Conference selection in the 500, 1000and 1650 Freestyle. On the Wingate charts, she holds school records in the 1000 and the 1650 Freestyle. Schmidt has the second-fastest time in the 500 Freestyle. In relay events, she is part of the team that holds the second and fourth fastest time in the 800 free relay.

2009-10: It is hard to imagine anyone having a better freshman year than the one Paige Schmidt experienced. She stepped clearly into the forefront by winning the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Women’s Swimmer of the Year award, while taking home two gold medals in the 1000 and 1650 freestyle races. She also set a team and conference record with her 1000 time at the BGMC Championships. She set a team record by placing fifth at the NCAA Championships in her 1000 Freestyle competition. 

High School: Paige Schmidt was a five-letter winner at Countryside High School as well as an Honor Roll student. She was voted the team’s most improved swimmer her sophomore year as well as the rookie of the year for her track team. She was a high school All-American in the 400 Free Relay as well as an All-State pick in four events. She was a part of her school’s District Champion Swimming and Track teams. Paige is the daughter of Lori and Michael Schmidt.
