Shawn Kindley saw time at number four and number five singles for the Bulldogs during her junior season. Kindley won seven matches at number five singles and nine matches overall. She finished the 2008 season with SAC victories over Newberry, Brevard and Mars Hill. In doubles, Kindley picked up eight 2008 victories at the number two spot with Pierce Dillard.

During the 2007 season, Kindley saw time at the number two, three, four and five singles spots. She played eight matches at the number one doubles spot in 2007. Kindley had 10 total wins for the Bulldogs in her freshman season (2006). She had a 4-3 record in number six singles play in 2006.

Kindley played number one singles for coach Chris Hoffman at Lincolnton High School. As a senior, she was undefeated in the Midwest (2A) Conference, leading the Lincolnton Wolves to their third straight league title. Kindley was All-Conference three years and All-County for two seasons. A two-time team MVP and team captain, she compiled 69-42 record during her four years. Kindley was a member of the Beta Club in high school.
