2014: Stephen Vaughan had 12 appearances including eight starts during his senior season, going 2-4 with a 3.86 ERA, adding a save...Had 58 strikeouts and just 12 walks in 67 2/3 innings...Got the save in season-opening win against Saint Augustine's, tossing two shutout innings...Tossed 7 1/3 shutout innings in relief against Tusculum, striking out seven while allowing just one hit to get the win...Struck out nine in 6 2/3 innings against Anderson...Allowed one earned run while striking out nine in 8 1/3 innings at Newberry...Tossed 8 1/3 shutout innings at Carson-Newman, allowing just four hits to earn the win...Tossed nine shutout innings against Catawba in the SAC Tournament, striking out 12 without walking a batter, allowing just five hits.

2013: Had 13 appearances including seven starts during his junior season...Went 4-3 with a 3.33 ERA, notching one complete game...Had 36 strikeouts and just 13 walks in 51 1/3 innings...Went 5 1/3 innings without allowing an earned run against Erskine...Struck out nine in seven innings against Kutztown, earning the win...Tossed three shutout innings in relief against Newberry, striking out two...In consecutive relief appearances against Carson-Newman and Catawba, went 4 2/3 innings without allowing an earned run, striking out seven and allowing just one hit...Allowed one run in six innings at Anderson to earn the win...Did not allow an earned run in 6 1/3 innings at Belmont Abbey...Got the win in relief against Mars Hill, going three innings without allowing an earned run.

2012: Vaughan led the Bulldogs with a 6-1 record during his sophomore season, finishing 10th in the league in wins. He had 51 strikeouts and just 12 walks in 51 2/3 innings of work. Vaughan tossed 2  1/3 innings of scoreless ball to pick up the win at Belmont Abbey. Vaughan allowed only two hits in five innings of work against St. Andrews, striking out seven without allowing a run. He struck out four in three innings of work to notch a win against Winston-Salem State. He got the save against Carson-Newman, working 1 2/3 perfect innings while striking out three. He got a win in the next game against Carson-Newman, striking out three in 2 1/3 innings without allowing a hit. Vaughan tossed six shutout innings to pick up a win against Pfeiffer. 

2011: Stephen Vaughan had 18 appearances out of the Wingate bullpen in his freshman season, going 2-1 with a 4.20 ERA. He finished second on the team and sixth in the SAC with four saves. Vaughan racked up 28 strikeouts in 30 innings of work, and did not allow a homer on the year.

Personal: Vaughan was the team MVP during his senior season at New Hanover High School, where he was an all-conference and all-county selection. Stephen is the son of Steve and Priscilla Vaughan.
