Personal: Britnee Dawley was the star libero who led her Cypress Falls High School team to its first state tournament finals appearance since 2000. The Cy-Falls team posted a 41-7 record in the highly competitive Houston Texas Region, with an upset of number one ranked Cypress Woods  in the regional finals.

As a club player, Dawley was the libero for the Texas Tornados. This past summer, Dawley was a member of an all-star squad representing the USA at a tournament in Nicaragua.  “I chose Wingate because it has such a positive atmosphere,” Dawley says. “Everyone I met was so kind and helpful in so many ways.  The volleyball players made my visit memorable by being so positive and welcoming.  I am so excited to be joining such a successful team.”

Collier: “With the loss of Maggie Malone, one of our most important players we have ever had here, I felt it was essential to bring in a talented and experienced libero who could be an impact player here right away as a freshman.  Brittnee is a skilled, high energy libero, and she will contribute immediately as both a libero and defensive specialist."
