Bogen was selected as an All-Star libero for the Norway 19 and under team in 2019. She led her team to a first-place finish in the Norwegian Mizuno League as well. As a 17 and under player she helped lead her team to a first-place national finish in 2017. Bogen also excelled in beach volleyball, placing first in the 19 and under national championship in 2018. She was also president of her school's student council.

Why Kari Chose Wingate:
"My dream was to get an athletic scholarship at a good university with a great volleyball program in the U.S. Coach Collier contacted me and the more I learned about his accomplishments and the Bulldogs and the University, the more I was impressed. My visit to Wingate University confirmed what I had read and also gave me the opportunity to meet a great group of athletes and friends."
