Kasey Eastland was a two-year team captain at Robinson High School, where she earned honorable mention All-District honors twice in her career...Was named the best freshman defensive freshman in school history...A member of the National Honors Society, Eastland also participated in Future Business Leaders of America...Played two years of club volleyball for Jammers VBC in Hawaii, helping them to a fifth-place finish at nationals in 2013...Played two years for Metro VBC and was named the Most Valuable Defender, helping the team to a first-place finish at the Capitol Hill Classic...Her last three club seasons were spent with Virginia Elite, where she earned a spot on the JVA Prep Volleyball top 50 Watch list...Has also had a successful Beach/Grass career, finishing first at First Rites Beach Tournament in 2016 and second the following year...Played with Dulles Sand Volleyball Club under head coach Seng Chu. 

Why Kasey Chose Wingate:
"I chose Wingate because of the high-level volleyball and academics provided. Coach Collier, Coach Brusie and the girls on the team are very competitive and make it feel like home. They were very family oriented and I fit in right away. Wingate's campus is also beautiful and was a great fit"

"Even before Kasey arrived on campus, we were optimistic about her ability to play a key role on our team as a freshman. Within the first days of pre-season practice, she clearly earned a role with the starting unit in practice with her defense, passing, competitive spirit and court personality. She continues to make progress in all of these areas."
